Hexham and Corbridge – The Market Towns of the Tyne Valley
Travelling to the west of Newcastle along the Tyne Valley this tour takes in the sights of two ancient towns. Firstly Corbridge with Bronze Age and Roman foundations followed by Hexham – an Anglo-Saxon settlement and seat of the Bishop of Hexham St. Wilfred. This tour will also show you the natural beauty of the Tyne valley and Northumberland.
This tour is a whole day tour. All weather clothing will be required and walking shoes. There will be a lunch break but bring any additional food and drinks along with you on the tour. The terrain of Hexham and Corbridge can be steep and uneven this tour may be unsuitable for those who are recovering from injuries or do not feel comfortable on long distance walks. The start of the tour will be from your accommodation.
The end of the tour will be in Hexham.

For the tour, we always suggest that you dress warmly with waterproofs as the weather is always changeable. Please do bring a camera to capture moments on the tour.
